Whitnie Riden is the Managing Attorney at Riden Law Firm. I graduated from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School with a J.D and obtained a B.A in Journalism and Sports Media Management from Georgia State University.

Prior to starting the firm, I worked at a boutique IP firm in Atlanta where my clients ranged from your everyday entrepreneur to professional athletes and celebrities protecting their businesses and brands.I was able to gain the expertise and knowledge to help hundreds protect their business via trademarks, copyrights, contract review and negotiating.

Given my passion for the entertainment and sports industry, I was grateful to be appointed as the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyer Division Chair for the Entertainment and Sports Industries for the 2022-23 bar year and subsequently again for the 2023-24 year, as well as be selected as an ABA Legal Scholar for 2022-24. My passion doesn’t stop there. In an effort to continue to advocate in the sports industry and bridge the gap between the sports world and the law, I also serve as an Associate Athletic Director of Compliance for a NCAA Division II institution. This allows me to continue to gain the knowledge and expertise to advocate for clients in the sports world, whether it is for Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), endorsement deals, or protecting their brand to ensure they are protected legally and still in compliance with their governing body legislation, such as the NCAA.

Currently, my practice areas are Intellectual Property (such as trademark law and copyright law), business law, and estate planning. It’s never too late to get your business and/or personal affairs in order.

I am committed to working hard to provide the best legal representation to my clients and put their best interests in mind. So whether you are a solo/small business owner, creative entrepreneur, professional, or an everyday person, my team is ready to help protect your brand, business or overall assets of value.

At Riden Law, we want to ensure your business and assets are protected securely!

Outside of my legal career, I sit on the Board of Directors as President for a local non-profit, Girl’s Unlimited Inc., located in Gainesville, Georgia, where the goal is to develop confidence, leadership skills and self-awareness through mentorship, educational events, and cultural experiences for young girls, primarily in middle and high school. I am committed to uplifting our youth as I believe the youth is our future.

I currently reside in Braselton, Ga with my husband Maurice Riden II who is also an attorney who practices personal injury in the Lawrenceville area.
