Biography

Whitnie Riden, Esq. is the Managing Attorney of Riden Law Firm, a boutique legal practice she co-founded with her husband and partner, Maurice "Reece" Riden II, Esq.

A graduate of Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, Whitnie earned her Juris Doctor and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Sports Media Management from Georgia State University. This background uniquely positions her at the crossroads of law, media, and sport.

Before starting Riden Law Firm, Whitnie sharpened her skills at a well-known Intellectual Property boutique in Atlanta. There, she helped entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, and innovators protect their brands, negotiate contracts, and understand the complexities of intellectual property law.

Recognized as a leader in the legal community, Whitnie served as Chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division for the Entertainment and Sports Industries during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 bar years. She was also honored as an ABA Legal Scholar for 2022-24.

Whitnie's commitment to the sports industry goes beyond the courtroom. She is the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance at an NCAA Division II institution. This role deepens her expertise in Name, Image, and Likeness agreements, endorsement transactions, and institutional compliance.
